Dan Lipnick

Dan Lipnick has been involved in real estate investment and development since 1980. Mr. Lipnick’s experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, development, and investment and asset management; with direct responsibility for projects valued at more than $2 billion in markets across the U.S.

Prior to joining M-M Properties, Mr. Lipnick served for ten years as the Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer with Maxxam Property Company, the real estate investment and development subsidiary of Maxxam, Inc., a public company. Mr. Lipnick was responsible for all financing activities for the firm’s real estate projects and financial reporting for the real estate group. During his tenure at Maxxam, the company’s real estate holdings included land developments in Arizona, California, Texas and Puerto Rico, and commercial properties in Texas, that generated revenues of more than $700 million.

Prior to Maxxam, Mr. Lipnick served as Managing Director of Transworld Properties, where he was one of three original professionals responsible for establishing the real estate subsidiary of privately-held Transworld Oil. During his 11 year tenure at Transworld, Mr. Lipnick led the multifamily group, where he was responsible for investments in projects comprising 9,000 units. During his last four years at Transworld, Mr. Lipnick was promoted to Managing Director and had overall responsibility for the company’s joint venture equity, acquisition, disposition, direct in-house development, and ongoing investment management for the firm’s multifamily, office, industrial, and mixed-use projects. While at Transworld, Mr. Lipnick was responsible for investments totaling in excess of $1 billion in total capitalized value.

Prior to Transworld, Mr. Lipnick was a partner in Bettencourt, Lipnick & Associates, a real estate investment and advisory firm involved in the financing, disposition and management of multifamily, office and hotel properties.

From 1986 through 1990, Mr. Lipnick served as a Vice President of Eastdil Realty where he specialized in investment sales, loan work-outs and asset management for institutional investors. Mr. Lipnick was involved with office, retail and multifamily properties valued at more than $750 million while at Eastdil.

From 1980 to 1986, Mr. Lipnick was a Vice President of The Golder Corporation, involved with the firm’s agency and principal business for multifamily, retail and land investments.

Mr. Lipnick earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University, and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas.
